Ode to Autumn by HeatherTelesca Ode to Autumn by HeatherTelesca
Took a camping trip up to the Catskills to photograph some fall colors! It's been almost 9 years since I've experienced a northeast fall season, and it is just as beautiful as I remembered.

I don't care what anyone says, fall in the northeast is truly something magical. (Go suck an egg Today Show)

With that being said, there is a tendency to over boost the saturation on photos like these, so I am staying away from the saturation button. Adjustments made are levels and curves only, and I've tried to make these as close to what we were actually seeing as possible.

Thanks! Kind of the "remastered" version of the one I had up here before.

It's interesting to flip the picture upside down.

At first I was going to comment on how clear the water was and then the angle threw me off. Great job, and now that's my favourite photo too.

*sighs in awe*

I have never seen fall like this before...I've always wanted to go to the northeast during Autumn simply because of this. In the southwest, where I am, we mostly have evergreen and cactus. Nothing exciting during fall.

This is beautiful! Truly beautiful! :+favlove:

I wish, I wisssshhh!! *pouts* I would love to come there and see the trees...I heard North Carolina has the same thing.

Naw, we mostly have rattlers, gopher snakes, vipers, and the occasional rat snake, I think. My teacher had a wild-caught gopher snake she named "Miss. Hissy Fit" for obvious reasons. I'd never seen such a fussy snake before!

 She lived up to her reputation! *hiisssssss* She never bit anyone, though! A friend of mine, Mike, was utterly terrified of the snake. I had her around my neck while the teacher was talking and poor Mike was sitting across from me with a look of repulsion on his face. :XD: :XD:
