I Bite You

We found a turtle...or rather a turtle found us!

This little girl was being harassed by a crow in the middle of a country road. Once I realized it was a turtle, I got out of the car expecting to find it dead.

Well, needless to say she was very much alive, and since the crow was coming back for seconds, she came home with me for the night! She's a painted turtle and very pretty.

I took a bunch of photos, and tomorrow she is being released at the camp my fiance works at. It's close to where we found her, and she won't have to worry about running into more crows in the middle of roads!
